We are a bunch of folk who have plots at Court Lane Allotments, Birmingham and have decided to try and inform and encourage people to grow their own fruit and vegetables. It doesn’t matter whether you have a large allotment plot, a small garden or even a window box there is always something you can grow.
If you are not sure where to start then a good place would be the BBC gardening site where you will always find tips and ideas. If you prefer the personal touch we have held several community events in the last couple of years, so we are hoping to do more. Everybody is welcomed so feel free to come down for a chat. If you cannot come then you can always comment on this site.
Court Lane plots are part of Birmingham City Council allotments and on their website you can find your local allotment and how to get your own plot. If you are not from Birmingham then check your local council website for information.
Like a good plot this site will take time to develop and we are relying on your feedback and contribution to make this a truly communal site.
